When it makes sense

You're switching hosting providers — the current one is slow, expensive or the contract is ending — and you're worried the site and business e-mail will break mid-move.

I handle the whole migration end-to-end: I copy the site and database, move DNS and mail records one to one, and time the switchover so e-mail doesn't lose a single message.

How the migration works

  1. Audit & backup

    A full backup of the site files (WordPress) and a database dump from the old host. I record every DNS record — including mail (MX, SPF, DKIM, autoconfig).

  2. Deploy on the new host

    I set the site up on the new platform, configure the directory structure and point the domain.

  3. E-mail without interruption

    I move the mail records (MX, SPF, DKIM, autodiscovery for Outlook and iPhone) one to one into the new DNS zone, so business e-mail never stops for a minute.

  4. Nameserver (NS) switch

    I delegate DNS management to the new host and watch global propagation before the next steps.

  5. Database import & fit

    I move the MySQL dump and resolve version differences (MySQL 8 vs MariaDB collations), syncing the table prefix with the WordPress config.

  6. Post-move diagnostics

    I clear the usual after-migration errors — a domain-binding issue or an HTTPS redirect loop caused by an old, incompatible directive in the .htaccess file.

  7. Final testing

    I check the site, SSL certificate, contact forms, e-mail and tracking codes (Google Ads / Meta Pixel) so ad campaigns don't suffer from the move.
